December 2009, IPR Protect project, mi-Cluster

PKpartners initiated the IPR Protect project (“provision of legal services for the protection of the intellectual property of the mi-Cluster”), being awarded a relevant contract by the Corallia Clusters Initiative within the thematic support action titled "Hellenic Technology Clusters in Microelectronics - Phase-2". The project shall run for three years.

October 2009, Paper in Journal of Administrative Law

Vagelis Papakonstantinou from PKpartners has published a paper in the Journal of Administrative Law (Sakkoulas Publications, in Greek), on "The legal treatment of blogs: on the occasion of the publication of elections polls" (Issue 4/2009, July-August).

September 2009, Paper in Computer Law & Security Review

Vagelis Papakonstantinou from PKpartners and Prof. Paul de Hert from the Vrije Universiteit Brussels have co-authored a paper published in the Computer Law & Security Review (Elsevier), on "The data protection framework decision of 27 November 2008 regarding police and judicial cooperation in criminal matters – A modest achievement however not the improvement some have hoped for" (Volume 25, Issue 5).

June 2009, Paper in Common Market Law Review

Vagelis Papakonstantinou from PKpartners and Prof. Paul de Hert from the Vrije Universiteit Brussels have co-authored a paper published in the Common Market Law Review (Kluwer Law International), on "The PNR Agreement and Transatlantic anti-Terrorism co-Operation: no Firm Human Rights Framework on either Side of the Atlantic" (Volume 46, Issue 3).

April 2009, Diginomicon series launched

PKpartners has launched aseries iof blog-type interventions in the recently uploaded Deasy Digital Easy Living portal (www.deasy.gr). The new series is called Diginomicom (www.deasy.gr/columns/diginomicon) and elaborates upon recent trends and issues of Digital Greece (all posts are, of course, subject to a legal disclaimer).

Jan 2009. M&A Magazine entry

The December 2008 issue of London-based M&A Magazine ran a feature article on “International M&A Hotspots – A Guide to M&A activity across the globe” and invited top law firms from Hong Kong, Spain, Iceland, Switzerland, Germany, Russia and Greece to comment on the marketplace. PKpartners covered the Greek entry; partner Vagelis Papakonstantinou commented on the Greek information technology and telecommunications market.

The article highlights PKpartners as being a top tier firm in those fields in Greece.
