Vagelis Papakonstantinou from PKpartners participated in the 10th Greek ICT Forum making a presentation on “Cyber-crime, cyber-criminality and cyber-prevention”.

August 15, 2008. New Offices

PKpartners is delighted to announce that it has moved to its new offices (103, Ethn. Antistaseos str., Neo Psychiko), in pursuit of its continued growth and wish to provide better services to its clients.

June 16, 2008. Version 2.0 of PKpartners internet site

PKpartners has successfully launched version 2.0 of its corporate internet site. The new version offers new information (People, Affiliations), as well as new functionalities (Login webpage, featuring, among others, content accessible only to authorized users). PKpartners has also secured the domain name TechLaw.Gr that is intended to host in the immediate future content related to new technologies and the law prepared by PKpartners members (its Publications webpages in older versions of its corporate internet site) and any other interested party.

April 18, 2008. Corallia / Semiconductor Insights / Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation Seminar on Patents

PKpartners, together with the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation, the Hellenic Technology Clusters Initiative and Semiconductor Insights Inc., has successfully co-organised a seminar on patents (“Patents – Why should I care?”). During the seminar presentations were given by Gordon Holstead and Jason Ghie, IP Principal and Manager in Semiconductor Insights respectively, Dimitris Boukouvalas, Deputy General Director of the Hellenic Industrial Property Organisation, Karl Barnfather, patent attorney at Withers & Rogers LLP, and Vagelis Papakonstantinou (PKpartners). Participants were presented with the international state of the art in patenting practices both within and outside the semiconductor field.

February 12-13, 2008. Seminar on the Legal Protection of Software

DIEPTELO is a research-training network which aims to spread the technical-theoretical knowledge in major areas of the Computer Science among researchers and professionals in Greece. PKpartners has taken part in DIEPTELO’s series of seminars, having successfully held a two-days event in Patras that focused on current trends in the legal protection afforded to software.

January 28, 2008. Seminar on "Installation of CCTV cameras in public spaces: lawfulness, effectiveness"

PKpartners has participated in a seminar organized by the Student Research Association of the Athens Law School (EOFN) on the installation and use of CCTV cameras in public spaces; the emphasis of the seminar was on data protection (privacy) and security issues
